You Don't Get It Yet, But You Will Later

Holy Thursday

Today's Reflection:

Jesus answered and said to Peter, “That I am doing you do not understand now, but you will understand later.”

It is so hard to wait! It seems that we spend most of our lives waiting for something or someone. So often when we don't get what we want when we want it, we are angry at God. 

God, when I don't get the job I want, or when the person I have fallen in love with doesn't love me, or when I find myself in any difficult dilemma, help me remember that I may not understand why this is happening to me now, but if I trust in you and let your will be done, I'll realize later that you always have my best interests at heart.
