“Jesus said…untie him and let him go (free)”

The Fifth Sunday of Lent

Today's Readings:

  • Ezekiel 37:12-14
  • Psalm 130:1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8
  • Romans 8:8-11
  • John 11:1-45

Today's Reflection:

Father Charlie Irvin once gave a sermon on these words that has stayed with me for 40 years. “Let him go free”-  this  means choosing good because good thoughts and actions liberate us;   greed, anger, ignorance bind us – compassion, generosity  are like breaths of fresh air after a long winter.
